Pawsitively Pugs Rescue’s mission is to rescue, care for, and re-home pugs who have been abandoned neglected or abused. Every pug they save has a second chance at life and finding the perfect home and family to love them. PPR accepts all pugs, no matter their age, medical conditions, or temperament because they believe every single dog deserves a chance. Each pug that is surrendered to Pawsitively Pugs gets any necessary medical treatments, are spayed or neutered, get microchipped and vaccinated so they are completely ready to start their new lives in a new home. This rescue is entirely operated by volunteers and runs on donations. Since they don’t have any paid staff, 100% of each donation goes to saving pugs!

Black Dog Club is joining us for another Spring Fling this year! This Smithfield-based group focuses their efforts on black dogs, just as the name suggests. These dogs often fall victim to "black dog syndrome", where they are overlooked for adoption due to a number of different factors. They also take in a number of harder to adopt dogs from shelters, ones that are in need of a little extra time and love. Those dogs might have heart worms, be part of a bonded pair, pregnant, or have a rough history that they need help overcoming.
"Black Dog Club provides rescue, rehabilitation, and training for dogs pulled from high-kill, rural animal shelters."
When it comes down to it, Black Dog Club is happy to welcome any animal, regardless of color, breed, or species! Make sure to look for them and some of their adoptable dogs at Spring Fling!!

All Breed Animal Rescue of the Carolinas is a small group working to make a difference in all kinds of ways. All Breed has a dedicated network of foster homes across North Carolina that give dogs in need a place to stay until they find their forever family. Many of those dogs are in need of some type of rehabilitation, whether from physical, emotional, or behavioral issues. All Breed strives to get them the care and training they need in order to be model citizens.
"ALLBARC is committed to saving neglected, unwanted, stray or abused dogs in North Carolina and surrounding areas and finding them happy, safe homes with new, loving families."
Senior and physically disabled dogs have a special place in the hearts of the All Breed team. Any time they have the availability, they do everything they can to pull these special souls into their program. Some may have issues beyond what an adoptive family can handle so they remain with the rescue in the "Forever Foster Program" where they spend the rest of their days being loved and cared for.
In addition to their adoption program, All Breed works to educate the public on the importance of adoption, spaying and neutering of pets, proper diet, and regular vet visits.
