Odin's Orphans: helping the homeless dogs of Nash County

Updated: Apr 3, 2022

Odin's Orphans Rescue is an all volunteer group of rescuers dedicated to helping as many homeless dogs in Nash County as they can. Nearly all of their dogs come from the county shelter, and are there for any number of reasons from abandonment and neglect, to owners no longer able to care for them. This group takes great care in screening potential homes to ensure that each dog is matched with the best family for their needs and vice versa. Education is provided on the responsibilities and costs of pet ownership to all prospective adopters.

"Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement into their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed, or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, dogs in greatest need take priority."

Luna is one of the dogs in their care looking for her perfect match! Here is a little about her. Meet Luna! She is about 6-7 years old! She is very social, loves people and other dogs! She enjoys spending her days on walks, car rides, and snuggling on the couch! She is up to date on all vaccines!! Luna recently had a common skin cancer removed and is doing GREAT!! We will only accept in-state (NC) adoptions for this sweet girl!

We are excited to have Odin's Orphans joining us for Spring Fling again this year! Check them out on Facebook and Instagram!
